Covergirl..?

im 15 years old, and me and my mom whent to walmart today to get some new makeup for school, because I have acne, my dermatologist recomended non-comedogenic makeup, the only one we found with that was covergirl advance radiance, when i got home, i read that its ben tested on women 35-45 its supposed ot make your skin look younger or sumthinnn idk, is it okay ifi still use it..? i dont know what to do :/Covergirl..?
You should be fine using that stuff it just wasn't made for someone your age. You should also consider a mineral based makeup, they don't clog your pores and often help with acne. Bare minerals is GREAT but if that's too expensive I think that Neutrogena now has a mineral line as well.Covergirl..?
covergirl i great it leaves your skin feeling like a baby's skin Report Abuse

Yeah its completely fine, if anything it will make you glow. Don't worry about it messing with your face, those are good for preventing young wrinkles from appearing
Well since your young you dont NEED it but no it wont hurt anything. Just think of it this way, your getting a jump start on wrinkles!
duh use it

YES ITS OK TO STILL USE IT. COVERGIRL IS A VERY GOOD MAKEUP PRODUCT BECAUSE I PUT SOME POWDER ON MY FACE. FOR MY PROM PIC AND MY FACE WAS NOT SHINING AT ALL THANK THE LORD!! BUT ANYWAYS YES IT STILL OK. ALSO TRY OXY PADS THEY WORK VERY GOOD. WATCH OUT FOR SOME PRODUCTS THEY MIGHT BE TO STRONG FOR UR FACE SO IF UR SKIN IS SENSITIVE TRY SENSITIVE SKIN PRODUCTS OR U WILL BREAK OUT EVEN MORE. GOOD LUCK!!
It doesn't matter if it makes the older women look younger. Well, it does for them. It just means that it makes you look, well, er, more radiant, and it gives you a young-ish look.. Do you get what I mean? That's good for anyone, really. You can still use it, of course. I really hope it works for you! Oh, and have fun at school!
No, you don't need Advanced Radiance make-up. In fact you probably don't need make-up at all at your age! Go back and look through the Cover Girl selection. They have a water-based foundation called Clean n Clear. There are other water-based, non comedogenic foundations on the market. Almay has several and so does Neutrogena. If you must wear make-up get a water-based foundation and a powder blusher, wash off your make-up when you get home in the evening. Take care of your complexion, a good complexion is the best make-up.
I don't think that that is really a problem, but I have to say that the best make-up for acne (for me) is not available at Walmart, but is available at Target:

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Makeup. It's about $9 (I got it at ULTA last time).

Just because it was tested on women 35-45 doesn't mean that it will be bad for you - it's just the marketing/focus group that they were looking for when they decided to market the product. Frankly, there is probably very little difference between that and most of their other base.

I also use the Neutrogena Mineral Powder - in the summer when liquid makeup is just a little 'too much'

You will definitely want to be careful not to try to 'over cover' your acne. It will make the problem worse. And most kids your age have acne to one degree or another. A light makeup and playing up your features (gently) by a light (LIGHT) dusting of blush, subtle lip color, and 'barely there' eye makeup will enhance what you have.

I remember being in high school with one or two girls who thought that their acne was just awful and they practically had stage makeup on - and it was really hard not to stare at the makeup. It was put on well/skillfully, but it was like a mask, and you couldn't see them at all - it was like they were hiding under there. Very disconcerting.

The same thing goes for the thick, black eyeliner - it's like the girls (ew and sometimes the guys, too, I've noticed lately) are trying to hide behind their makeup.

The prettiest girls (and women) that I know are really good at applying just enough for enhancement - and I am never quite sure if they are wearing makeup or not.
